Wrong Words

I stumble and

trip

over

words

that lie like logs

fat obstacles

that block my path

They

should

be

tools.

Helps not

hind

rances.

I bend down

to

look at

them.

They

are the

wrong

words,

all of

them.

One

by

one,

I kick them away

and they land

in

pile,

a

log jam.

I can't get

through

or

re-

arrange

them into sense

or

beauty.

So I

am left

with

nothing

to show

you,

you

whom I am

trying

to

reach ....

and comfort.

Gave me

Gave me,

Gave me

a massage

Baked

Bread

Vacuumed

Made tea

Made salad

Made lunch

Played reso

Watched

Football

All day

And

All of the night

he

gave

me.

gave

me.

gave

me ................

Droop

limp leaf.

No energy,

can’t do

Any

thing.

Can’t

Breathe

Try

Day Off

He wanted

Betadine

But I

didn’t

know

what it was.

Iodine,

It’s iodine

for a cut on his

badly swollen

hand but he

says

it’s nothing.

Helped a friend

move

house this morning.

Now he’s

gone on

a

long

long

drive

to see his

sister, who

has

been sect

Ioned.

In another town.

After the op

After the op,

Ready to draw

Through sea green surface
it rises, ready to draw
thick black lines, and shapes

Evening in July

We have a heatwave in the UK and there's a breeze in Hastings so the weather has been glorious.

Roses and geraniums shed bright red petals on to the veranda. There is tennis at Wimbledon with strawberries & cream (apparently they've attempted strawberry sandwiches this year but without much success) and people are splashing about in the sea.

All this while the US cracks apart and the danger of civil war increases, while people queuing for food in Gaza get shot and Russia keeps on bombing the Ukraine. Misery beyond belief in so many places.

Here it is peaceful .....  for now.

Woke up to strimmers

Whining round the fishing ponds

Mist rolled in from sea

Bonfire Night

Walked about in the rain and eventually found a new hairdresser called Kadrie. She had a lovely smile and was good at her job so I left feeling happy.

Dreaming of drawing

It's so long since I posted but this morning I'm waiting for a new laptop - one that I can draw on. I've sold several things on Ebay so that I can buy this but I'm not sure that it will be OK.

Falling Apples

Whoops - that's something I drew a long time ago - not on a computer screen. Will look for something I've drawn digitally.

Yes, that's one - Two Heads - also from a long time ago.

I've chosen an Acer Spin 3 - 14 inches! A giant for one who loves small things. It has a Wacom pen.

It's good to draw in the spaces between the writing.
